Problem & Impact
- When the chat welcome message is set to pop open, the preview displays:
- Chat icon
- Welcome message
- Avatar (floating above the welcome message)
- Close “X” button
→ This creates visual clutter with four competing elements.
- The avatar floats above the text, which looks misaligned and visually awkward (e.g., takes up space, hovers unnaturally, looks unintentional / wonky).
- To hide the avatar, the only workaround is uploading a blank image file — but this also removes the avatar inside the actual chat, which isn’t ideal.
Suggested Solutions
- Add a separate setting for controlling avatar visibility and picture in the chat preview vs. inside the open chat.
- Options:
- Show / hide avatar in preview
- Use a different avatar in preview vs. open chat
- Options:
- Improve alignment so the avatar displays in line with the welcome message text rather than hovering above it.
