# Separate form contacts

We have several “categories” of forms for different purposes on our website.  
How can we separate contacts coming from particular form, so several particular users can filter and work with it?

Hey @Tatiana2

To separate contacts coming from a particular form and allow specific users to filter and work with it, follow the steps mentioned in this thread [here](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/CRM/Forms-Lists-and-Contacts/m-p/364528#:~:text=Go%20to%20Contacts%20%3E%20Lists%20%3E%20Create,or%20date%2C%20and%20click%20Save.)

After separating these contacts based on the forms submission you can create a list view in your contacts dashboard.

Hi @Tatiana2,

You can use the filter Form submission available on both Contacts and Lists pages to create different views/lists and share them with your team.

Hi @Tatiana2

you can use the form to filter contacts in views, create lists

use them in workflows to assign them to different team members

and you can also use for example a Contact Type property to identify if the contacts coming from those different form are different types too.

This will give you a better clarity of the data base you are building.

And of course, always build the proper report to always be checking on this.

Thanks for the list idea! Will the list automatically update each time someone submits the form? Or do I need to manually create a new list every time?

Yes @Tatiana2 , you need to create an Active list so that it automatically updates.
