Sending Limit Reached for a Marketing email - Action > Send to More - Help!

Hi Community,

I’m running into an issue with HubSpot’s Marketing email sending limits. I’m using the Action > Send to More option to send individual confirmation emails to contacts who registered for our networking event.

HubSpot is showing me a sending limit (currently at 91/100), but the link to learn more about this limit isn’t working, and I can’t find any information about it in the HubSpot knowledge base.

Since we’re sending these emails one-to-one, I’m not sure why we’re hitting a limit. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know where I can find more details about this specific sending limit and how to increase it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Kuba

Hi @KubaNowakowski,

If you’re on a Starter subscription, the fastest way to resolve this would by contacting HubSpot support – who can check your individual limits.

In any case, using “Sent to more” is not considered one-to-one, it’s still considered a marketing email and counting towards your limit.

What do you see when you click the menu in the top right corner of the app (labeled with your portal name) > Account & Billing > Usage & Limits – what do you see here?

Best regards

Hi Karsten! Long time no see :slightly_smiling_face:

Chat support is not yet available today thus I came here. We are actually on Legacy Marketing Hub Starter and Sales Hub Professional. I do not know if that makes a difference.
About the usage and limits, I actually do not see such a section in the Account & Billing section. Tried the search bar but no sucess either.
Any other ideas how we can solve this or is this even an issue? Can we send the email some other way through HS?
Thanks in advance!

@KubaNowakowski you can always send actual one-to-one emails, would that be an option? Send and manage one-to-one emails

These do not count toward a marketing email limit.

Regarding support, chat is sometimes unavailable, I’d recommend logging a ticket via email.

gotta use the marketing email, its got the design and some QR code. I am talking to support on chat right now, maybe they will figure this out.

@KubaNowakowski in that case, that will count toward the marketing email limit then, unfortunately.

HubSpot sets daily and monthly email limits depending on your account type, so this might be why you’re hitting a restriction, even if they’re one-to-one emails.

Since the “Send to More” option is still part of the marketing email feature, those confirmations are likely being counted against your marketing email limit. These limits help with deliverability and avoid triggering spam filters, which can happen with high-volume sends.

You have a few options to work around it. First, if you’re on a paid plan, try reaching out to HubSpot’s support team. Let them know you’re using the feature for event confirmations, and they might be able to either temporarily boost your limit or suggest a better approach for this type of email.

Another option is to use HubSpot’s Sequences feature (part of the Sales Hub) if you have access to it. Sequences are great for one-to-one emails, and they don’t count toward your marketing email limit. This could be a really useful workaround for sending those confirmations individually without hitting the cap.

If you keep running into this issue, you might want to consider upgrading your HubSpot plan. Some plans come with higher email send limits, so this could give you a bit more breathing room for future events. Or, if upgrading isn’t an option right now, you could integrate a third-party email tool with HubSpot, like Gmail or Outlook, to handle the individual confirmations without affecting your marketing email allowance.
