Sending Alerts and Re-Surfacing Leads, MQLs and Closed Lost Opportunities after Re-engagement

I am struggling to figure out how best to alert reps when a recycled (nurtured) MQL/Opportunity re-engages with Marketing.

Current Process:

- Lead MQLs due to scoring

- Send alters & created views for all open, new MQLs for the account owner to follow up with

- If they are not able to convert the contact into an opportunity, we have a couple of leads statuses that will be manually set to “push the contact back to marketing to nurture”. These recycled contacts will stay in MQL status, but will receive marketing nurture/content.

If someone is already an MQL, how do I set up a workflow that will say “if contact is an MQL and in lead status equal to nurture, then engages with marketing (form fill, event, etc.), change lead status to Open MQL and send alert”? I can’t find a workflow option that enables 1) a catch-all for marketing engagement or 2) enables me to focus on activity that occurred after a lead was already in nurture status.

Would love to understand how others have solved this in the past.

Hi @PWolf

There is no standard way of doing this and I will start by saying this is likely to be a bit of a workaround.

You could use lists as your catch-all for engagement provided you have some other elements in place.

My thinking would be that you set a date stamp when the person goes to nurture or for the step you wish to segment by.

Then you create lists for the last email clicked by “insert property you created” and that would allow you to set these up. Last page seen was updated after “property you created” etc.

As I said - it’s not an elegant solution cause its definitely a workaround BUT it should do the job.
