If we would have the possibility to have Send report as workflow action, we could send out reports always if something on the report has been changed rather than on a daily, weekly etc. schedule.
We have several use cases for this; one example: A report is sent out only after a form submission and (in contrast to submission notifications) includes the Excel spreadsheet of a report already—that way, you don’t need to give export permissions to those users.
That way, we wouldn’t bother people with emails, if nothing changes in a report, but could inform them in an instant manner if something changes more frequently. This would also help to achieve the goals mentioned in other ideas like this or this one.
