Send list from Hubspot to Mailchimp

Hi guys so we switched from Salesforce to Hubspot, in Salesforce use used mailchimp to send marketing / customer emails to people that suscribed throguht web forms (we has Salesforce and Mailchimp integrateds they talked).

Now we switched to Hubspot, but when we first tried connecting we had the issue that it passed all of our database to Mailchimp and we got a huge invoice (undone by support) so what i would like to do is to choose some customers / leads to send to mailchimp not all the database, we currently have 7.000 marketing contacts in hubspot but the ability to send bulk emails to contacts in hubspot is like 5 times more expensive.

Is there a way to create an active list from Hubspot and send those leads to mailchimp for emailing. For example i could email customers with Hubspot since they are less and leads with Mailchimp since we get about 1.5-2k a month.

Hi @FelipeE ,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

We have this helpful knowledge base article that goes over the email email send limit within HubSpot for context. I was able to find out through another Community post the following:

‘Along with that, the "number of contact database he will purchase"x10 is an email limit generally in HubSpot. Reference screenshot. Also, HubSpot is way much faster than Mailchimp and the emails will be delivered to all 5000 recipients in a matter of minutes the moment the workflow gets ON. Reporting and other features are quite a user interactive with a faster turnaround time.’
With that being said from my research at this time it is not possible to sync an active list to Mailchimp at this time. I do want to tag in some of out experts, @Mike_Eastwood, @andrus, and @Phil_Vallender. Do you have any advice for @FelipeE on how they can manage their e-mail sends within HubSpot and MailChimp.

Best,

@JenWeiss

How can i sync then? if i sync all database i get like 70.000 contacts that we dont really email all, and we get charged a lot on Mailchimp, we currently have 7.000 marketing contacts in our hubspot implementation, but that is no enoght we would probably need around 10k more but the cost on hubspot is expensive (i’ll say about 7 times more than mailchimp which we used for over 3 years)

Like @JenWeiss already mentioned, the native integration is not best suited for syncing only a selection of contacts over. But if you’re open to using third-party tools then Outfunnel’s (where I am part of the team) Hubspot-Mailchimp integration offers just that. It lets you sync a List or multiple Lists to a Mailchimp Audience, or each List to a separate Audience. It also syncs all email engagements back to Hubspot.
