Hi,

I’d like to send emails to different clients using different addresses and display names under the same account. For example, when sending emails to business partners, I’d like to use my personal name and a personal email address (the one I use to register for hubspot account). But to potential clients, I’d prefer using [sales@mycompany.com](mailto:sales@mycompany.com) or [support@mycompany.com](mailto:support@mycompany.com) under the display name of Sales team or Support team. Can I do that?

I know I can do this by creating a user with the desired email address. But as I’m just starting my business, I’d like to do couple things all by myself at the moment.

Hello @groundivy you can use an [email alias](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/articles/kcs_article/email/how-can-i-add-an-email-alias-to-send-emails-in-the-crm-from-multiple-emails) or secondary email when sending [sequences](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/articles/kcs_article/sequences/using-sequences) from your [connected](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/articles/kcs_article/email-notifications/how-to-connect-your-email-inbox-to-hubspot-sales) Gmail/G Suite, Office 365, IMAP/SMTP inbox, or the CRM.

When you send an email from the CRM, the _From_address defaults to the email address of your user in the CRM. If you have a second email address that you want to send emails from, you can add this as a connected account in your CRM user settings.

**Note** : If you have [connected](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/articles/kcs_article/email-notifications/how-to-connect-your-email-inbox-to-hubspot-sales) a Gmail inbox that has an alias set up, that alias will show up in the dropdown menu for the _From_ field in the email composer.

- In your HubSpot _ **Sales** _ account, navigate to **Account Menu** \> **Profile & Preferences**.

- Select **Security** in the left sidebar menu, and then under the _Email Aliases_ section, click **Add email address**.

 ![|768](https://d2qpr2jzcazej7.cloudfront.net/original/3X/9/d/9df781fe85c0dc7db84183644e38460fc8e5f50d.png)

- Enter the email address you’d like to connect, then click **Save**.

 ![add-email-address.png](https://d2qpr2jzcazej7.cloudfront.net/original/3X/d/7/d7a8ffe1be563c80e9472323a2436f62b1bf3eef.png)

To send an email using your newly connected email address:

- Navigate to **Contacts**.
- Click the **name** of the contact.
- In the interactions box above the timeline, click **Email**.
- Click the **dropdown menu** beside the _From address_ and select a different email address.

 ![|700](https://d2qpr2jzcazej7.cloudfront.net/original/3X/0/6/06728be4857750de22d117778d0dd81f289ea35b.png)

To send a sequence from an alias or secondary email in the CRM, click the drop-down next to the **From** field and select the email address. You can then click the **Sequences** link to select and configure your sequence.

 ![refresh-from-email-dropdown.png](https://d2qpr2jzcazej7.cloudfront.net/original/3X/c/a/cabb96789ca139241e741de1bdf0da2d85292325.png)

An [_email alias_](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/articles/kcs_article/email/how-can-i-add-an-email-alias-to-send-emails-in-the-crm-from-multiple-emails) is an alternate address that points to a user’s existing email account. You can create an alias in your connected email account and use that alias to send a sequence without issue.

A _secondary account_ is another unassociated email address you may have. For example, you can connect your personal Gmail account to HubSpot (a different account than the one paying for HubSpot Sales Pro) and send a sequence.

The email address set up in your [user settings](https://app.hubspot.com/l/manage_users) doesn’t necessarily need to be the email address you are using to send sequences. Your user email address may be an alias as long as you have an inbox connected to HubSpot with the alias configured.

Hello I have the same problem with this one, wherein I have several accounts used for sending. Now to save time, i just want to integrate those gmail emails in hubspot(which I did).
Unfortunately, the name in the from field only reflects the account instead of the original names of the those emails being integrated.
Is there a way to use

the names of those that are integrated in the email as well?

It seems like there’s no way to do this? This would be important for us as well.

Hi, following up here since seems it’s never been fixed.

Not sure what everyone’s usecase is, it’s cool to have email aliases but showing the same name regardless of what email adress you’re using to sends it makes it useless for us.

Any plans on changing this?

Hello [@JohnPaul\_Burke](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/117887),

Currently, there is not a native tool where you are able to show different signatures based on your alias.

As a workaround you could create 2 templates with different signatures, choosing the appropriate one based on who you are emailing.

- **[Create and send templates](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/conversations/create-and-send-templates)**

Kindly,

Pam

This fix only appears to work for gmail accounts and not outlook. Or am I doing something wrong. I have done all of the above but still not able to select my Alias.

Hello, [@Gemma\_Kerley](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/376589) thank you for reaching out. Currently, we [don’t support custom names for O365](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/email/send-and-reply-to-one-to-one-emails#:~:text=Please%20note%3A%20the%C2%A0From%20name%C2%A0feature%20is%20not%20supported%20for%20Office%20365%20connected%20inboxes.), I believe this is due to a graph API limitation, but you can change the name by changing or updating your name in your Microsoft account.

I hope this information helps.

Pam
