Im using oauth2 authentication for interacting with hubspot api.

When I select the authorize link, it reads my hubspot credentials (doesnt prompt for userid and password) from the browser.

I need the provision to select the account, even if there is only one account.

We can achieve this in google oauth2 using “prompt” parameter in the authorize request. It doesnt seem to work here in hubspot.

Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hey @Sreelatha,

Currently, if the email address is only tied to one HubSpot portal/account, it’s not possible to set a prompt to select the portal. This will only occur if you’ve more than one account tied to the email address.

Hi Wendy,

Thankyou for the reply.

I’m checking for a prompt even before we give the hubspot credentials.

Currently if there is an active hubspot session in the browser, the authorize url doesnt even ask for credentials. What if user wants to try to use another account to login.

Hey @Sreelatha,

Just to make sure that we’re on the same page, do you mean that:

1. User A login to the HubSpot portal

2. On the same browser, when user B access the HubSpot portal, it is still logged in as User A and your team had like to have the option of selecting another account?

Hey @Sreelatha,

In this case, if user B had like to access HubSpot without the prior login of user A, there’s a couple of things your team can explore:

1. Ensure that user always log out of the HubSpot portal after each use.

2. Clear [browser cache](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/cos-general/how-to-clear-your-browser-cache) so that the HubSpot login isn’t saved.

3. If your team is using a Chrome browser, I’d suggest for your team to create guest profile: [Browse Chrome as a guest](https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/6130773?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en).

Hi Wendy,

I understand that it is uncommon to maintain multiple hubspot accounts. And hence there is no provision to provide option to select multiple accounts while trying to login.

However Thank you for you effort.
