Hi! We have 3 primary domains in place (blog, landingpages, email). I would like to add another one for files specifically (Example: content.domain.com). In some screenshots there are more than 3 primary domains.(Example: https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hub/2832391/hubfs/Settings/Domains-and-URLs/replace-primary-domain.png?t=1538739817681&width=860). But I can only add secondary domains. Is there any downsite to add secondary domains for documents/flyers?

Hi @Bruk , some packages and plans have the ability to add more than one primary domain per content type (Landing page, blog, email, etc) this is why you see some with more than 3.
No downside to adding secondary domains for your files as far as I can see. There is a useful article on how to change your file’s URL here

I’m not sure I understand your question. When you say secondary domain, do you mean subdomains? Because in your example content.domain.com, that is a subdomain of your primary domain. I only ask because in order to answer your last question I need to know if you’re thinking about hosting the documents and flyers on a different domain or on a subdomain.
I want to host them on the subdomain, not a different domain. For some reason Hubspot differentiates between “primary domains” and “secondary domains” while its still possible to place different subdomains from the same domain on each of them.
Am currently doing the setup for the DNS entries.
Ahh right. So there is one downside…when you host content on a subdomain, Google treats it as an entirely different website. So your main domain does not get any SEO benefits from any of the content that is on the subdomain. Usually, you would only want to host content on a subdomain if it is user-generated content or content that you do not want your main domain ranking for.

Not related to your question on files URL @Bruk but just to clarify the difference between a primary and secondary domain as it’s discussed above. This is pretty much HubSpot speak and entirely unrelated to the idea of a domain vs a subdomain. (In fact, every domain in HubSpot is a sub-domain). More on this here.
Primary domain: Is the default domain that this content type will be hosted on.
Secondary domain: Content can be hosted on this domain but it is not the default one
