When managing properties for contacts, there is no native ‘Street Address -2’ line (for apartments designation, for instance). I can produce a new property but don’t want to do so until I ask the community these questions:

• Am I missing something?

• Is this important or does the default position prefer it is we put Apt. #s in the same line as the primary address?

• Is there another solution I am missing?

Hi @drufner,

As per the [documentation here](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/contacts/hubspots-default-contact-properties), HubSpot designed the field to include apartment or unit #.

However, I can’t think of any features in HubSpot that rely on this single address line field on a contact level. The only one that comes to mind is quote creation but on a second thought it’s not related: It’s not showing any contact address fields at all, only the company address fields _Street Address 1_ and _Street Address 2_.

If at a later point you realize that you need to consolidate two address fields into one, you could export your contact date, merge the columns in Excel and reimport it and delete the line 2 property.

By the way, by default a new address line 2 property would not show up in the contact record sidebar, but you can customize it and display line 2 right below line 1, see [here](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/customize-record-sidebars).

Hope this helps!
