# Sales rep email

Hi,

Could anyone tell me if it’s possible to send emails to a non-marketing contact?

Our Sales rep sends emails to customers before a sales trip to check their availability to meet, few contacts on theat list are non-marketing. Is there a way to send those contacts emails?

Hi @NamrathaS,

Non-marketing contacts can receive one-to-one emails: [Send and manage one-to-one emails](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/one-to-one-email/send-and-reply-to-one-to-one-emails)

They can’t receive marketing emails, the only exception being emails sent through the transactional email add-on (which doesn’t apply here). For a contact to receive marketing emails, they must be a marketing contact. There’s no way to bypass that.
