Sales Following up with Hot Leads

Quick question for anyone running a B2B demand gen or RevOps:

How do you currently track how fast your sales team follows up on inbound leads?

I’m trying to understand if this is something people actually measure or if it just falls through the cracks. Do you have a system, a report or a spreadsheet?

Hi @DvanWyk7,

If you’re working with contact lifecycle stages or the leads object, HubSpot will automatically maintain “Date entered” and “Time in” / “Latest time in” properties for each stage.

Additionally, there are properties like:

Date of first engagement: the date the current contact owner first engaged with the contact. This is set automatically by HubSpot and will be cleared if Contact owner is set to No owner.

Lead response time: Time it took the current owner to do first qualifying engagement (ms).

Depending on your exact definition and how you use HubSpot, these can help measure how fast your sales is.

On top of that, calculation properties can calculate how much time passed between two date properties: Create calculation and rollup properties

For example, if you want the time between contact creation and the “Date entered SQL”, that could be solved with a calculation property - before using the property in a custom report that calculates the average by contact owner.
