"SALES" & "CONTACTS" in drill-down 1 field: what does it mean?

Does anyone know what the meaning is of these two drill-down values?

- SALES

- CONTACTS

Both of them seem to be created by the sales rep manually, but does anyone know exactly how and what the difference is between the two?

here are the definitions:

Contacts: the contact was manually added to the contacts database by a user.

Sales: the contact was created or updated via a logged email sent using the HubSpot Sales extension.
