I’m currently building out an email sequence for my SaaS product, but instead of reinventing the wheel, I thought it’d be smart to learn from those who’ve already tested things that work.
If you’ve built or tested any SaaS email sequences (for onboarding, nurturing, or conversions), I’d be super grateful if you could share your approach, structure, or even just 1-2 tips that worked well for you.
Welcome to the Community, @MAli119! I love that you want to learn from others. And thanks for thinking of me, @BérangèreL!
You mentioned onboarding - that’s what I do. I’m a customer education facilitator for a HubSpot partner (Impulse Creative) and we do HubSpot onboarding, training workshops, and our own product training as well (HubLMS, cohortium, and RocketPRM are our products).
Here’s an example of a Sequence I use when I’m about to kickoff a training or onboarding experience with a new client.
Welcome email
This includes a little about us, an acknowledgement that training can be a lot, and a spot to put in meeting times + a meeting link for them to schedule our kickoff call
If they schedule, they get email #2
Email 2 asks to add us as a Partner Admin to their portal. This is an admin step that we used to include in email 1, but found people were better focusing on one step at a time.
If they don’t schedule within a couple of days, they get email #1.5 - a reminder.
If they still don’t schedule with another 48 hours, there’s a task to call them and connect.
Email 3 is an update on their project management plan and curriculum, plus a “We can’t wait to work with you” reminder about our upcoming kickoff call.
And that’s it for the initial onboarding of a training experience. Pretty simple. Hope that helps inspire some ideas for your Sequence building.
Hi @danmoyle, thank you so much for sharing this great example of sequence that you are using!
I love to read your posts with such valuable insights, we really appreciate, thanks again Dan!
