Hi, I am new to Hubspot. I attend various conferences/trade shows for my company every year and we just started using Hubspot. What I want to do is get the list of attendees and exhibits and run it through Hubspot. So that Hubspot can sort it for us with industry or company type in order for us to reach out to those companies to 1. Set up meetings 2. Short-list potential clients.
Hey @JayU, while HubSpot can help you sort out these industry types and company types via lists and filters it doesn’t do lookups on these types of information. Sure, HubSpot has HubSpot Insights which attempts to look up this information, but it doesn’t always find it and it won’t automatically create contacts at those companies it finds unless you import them.
If your trade show lists do have this information on them, you could certainly import them into HubSpot and organize them that way, but one of thing to note when doing so is: Do these people expect to hear from you? If not, it can lead to high unsub rates, bounces, etc. which can get your marketing sends disabled.
Basically, I want to import the list of contacts for the Trade show and want to find out which of those contacts could qualify as our possible leads. After that, we can start reaching out to only potential people for meeting requests at the conference.
