# Role names through Hubspot API

Hi,

Greetings for the day.

Is there any way to get the role names assigned to the user. In the User API, we are getting role ids i.e. permission sets assigned to the user. But I want to get the role names as well which are assigned to the user.

Is there any property or field name which I can put in the url to get the role name details.

Hey @GHubspot, thank you for posting in our Community!

The User API provides roleIds but not role names directly. To get role names, you’ll need to use the Roles API ([https://api.hubapi.com/settings/v3/roles](https://api.hubapi.com/settings/v3/roles)) to fetch all roles and match their IDs with the roleIds from the User API.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a direct way to include role names in the User API response. To our top experts, @Anton and @DanielSanchez do you have any recommendations for @GHubspot matter?
