Until very recently (approx 13-Mar-2023?), we have been successfully retrieving form submissions via the api URL

[https://api.hubapi.com/form-integrations/v2/submissions/forms/{form-guid}](https://api.hubapi.com/form-integrations/v2/submissions/forms/%7Bform-guid%7D). To date, those API requests were submitted using a (deprecated) API Key. The calls now fail with a 401 response.

I have tried swapping to the Private App/Bearer token approach with the same URL but it still fails with a 401 response.

I know that the API token itself is valid (we’re successfully submitting other calls with the same token). The token has ‘forms’ scope (also deals.read/write, owners.read, companies.read, visitor-identification.tokens.create).
Any clues how to get this operational again?

Hi there,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble retrieving form submissions via the HubSpot API. It sounds like you have already tried switching to a Private App/Bearer token approach, but you’re still getting a 401 response.

Based on what you’ve described, it’s possible that there may be an issue with the permissions associated with your API token. Although the token has the ‘forms’ scope, it’s possible that it may not have the necessary permissions to retrieve form submissions.

To troubleshoot this issue, I would recommend checking your API token permissions to ensure that it has the necessary scopes and permissions to retrieve form submissions. You may also want to check the HubSpot API documentation to see if there have been any recent changes or updates that may be impacting your ability to retrieve form submissions.

If you continue to experience issues, I would recommend reaching out to HubSpot support for further assistance. They may be able to provide more specific guidance on how to resolve this issue.

I hope this helps!

Thanks, Eden. Maybe I should have been clearer: this process was running for 11 months before it suddenly broke over the past weekend. The permissions _have been_ correct and I have not found any indication of a change in the documentation. The closest match on submissions is for a beta API for survey submissions (different object entirely per the docs).

As for Hubspot support… well, I started there and they indicated that they were not equipped to answer the question. Their expertise is on the use of the Hubspot application(s) rather than the API that supports it. Sadly, the best “support” that I was offered for a process that was suddenly broken without any intervention on our part was “try the community forum.”
