# Resuming Finished Sequence

Hello - I want to add a step to an existing sequence that is finished. Am i able to do this and if so, how would i re-enroll the contacts back into the finished sequence to resume it?

Hi @MTarnovsky,

Sure, you can edit existing sequences and make changes to them. Contacts who have already completed the steps will not experience the changes.

When you re-enroll contacts into the sequence, you can choose where they should enter: [Enroll contacts in a sequence](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/sequences/enroll-contacts-in-a-sequence#enroll-multiple-contacts-in-a-sequence)
