Subject: Feature Request: Ability for Re-enrolled Contacts to Resume Workflows from Last Completed Step
Description:
Currently, when a contact is re-enrolled in a HubSpot workflow, they are always restarted from the beginning. This can create inefficiencies, especially for longer workflows, since contacts may repeatedly pass through steps they already completed.
Proposed Improvement:
Introduce an option that allows re-enrolled contacts to continue from the last step they reached in the workflow, rather than restarting from the beginning. This option could be configurable at the workflow or enrollment level.
Benefits:
- Saves time by avoiding duplicate actions.
- Provides a smoother, more personalized experience for contacts.
- Enables teams to manage complex workflows without creating multiple branches or redundant workflows.
- Reduces manual work by eliminating the need to track and skip over previously completed steps.
Use Cases:
- Nurture sequences where a contact dropped off mid-way and should resume at the correct stage.
- Sales sequences where a contact re-engages after some time and should continue from the most relevant next action.
- Multi-step onboarding workflows where progress should be preserved across re-enrollments.
Summary:
Adding the ability for re-enrolled contacts to resume from their last completed workflow step would greatly enhance workflow flexibility, reduce redundancy, and improve both team efficiency and contact experience.
