# Restrict Task Completion

I would like to limit Task completion to either the assignee or the assignee’s team. Is there a way to do this?

Hi @PKolesar,

In the user permission settings, you should be able to limit task view and edit access to owned only:

You can find these settings by following these steps: [Manage user permissions](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/settings/edit-user-permissions)

Removing edit access blocks task completion of unowned tasks.
