Another vote here for locking/restricting individual properties. HubSpot overlords, if you’re reading this, when you implement this feature please make it available not just for contact properties but for deal properties as well.
We really need some items to be restricted, like Deal “Created Date”. I like the ability for admin to edit almost any field, but if someone can view the field, they can edit right now and that’s not ideal.
This is definetly needed - we send contact data from our admin tool to hubspot (via API) and dont want users to have the ability to overwright that information. Changes to that core data should only happen on our side (admin tool) and the changes should be pushed to hubspot as read only.
This is an essential feature for our ability to sync data with our custom software that our franchises use to run their businesses (many with multiple locations and the need for distinction between them). Without this functionality, we simply cannot do a two-way sync and keep data fresh and clean because record keys in our data cannot change. Additionally (and maybe more “head-scratching-ly”) is why can’t we do a data sync on multiple HubSpot portals? HubSpot to HubSpot… I am literally begging for a field lock feature!
Yes please, need to be able to lock address properties on a contact record so that they are only updated in companies.
This would be SO useful for us.
We are looking to keep track of our loyalty points system on Hubspot and we only want certain people to be able to update the number of points on a contact.

This is a MUST! We have integrations and workflows tied to several properties now and humans are just not-to-be-trusted! Hubspot needs to have property-level permissions that the Super Admin only can edit.

It would be great if you could restrict the editing permissions of specific contact proerties like “HubSpot Owner”
Alternatively, it would be nice if you could just lock specific properties. Or, allow certain teams to edit certain properties or certain users to have certain property editing permissions.
To add this idea, with the introduction of multiple HubSpot scoring properties it would be beneficial for customers to be able to set permissions on this particular property.
This would be very useful for deal properties also!
