Restrict access to companies and contacts by Team

We need a way to restric which Companies and Contacts can be see by Team.

I need a way to ensure that only a certain team can see some companies.

Hi @mpatino,

This can be accomplished using HubSpot’s user permissions. Navigate to Settings > Users & Teams. When creating a new user or new role you should see this:

In my example, I set the Contacts & Companies access to Team only. A user will now only see contact or company records if they themselves are the owner of those records or if they’re in the same team with someone who is.

If you’re not familiar with setting up teams, this knowledgebase article is a great resource.

As a super admin I will be importing a set of companies that I only want a specific team to be able to see.

How can I do this? (There is no one in that team yet.)

Do I have to be added to that team?

If so, once I revert back to my other team, will the companies move with me or stay with that team?
