Hi everyone,

I’m Ryan, the Product Manager for HubSpot’s Sales Documents tool.

Thank you for taking the time to share this idea — we genuinely read and consider everything submitted here.

While we don’t yet have a way to restore a deleted Sales Document , we’ve made a few improvements to help prevent accidental loss.

- There’s now a clear warning that deleting a document will remove all historical engagement tracking, and a specific warning when you’re about to delete a document owned by someone else.
- We’ve also added more granular read/write permissions, so users can create links without being able to add or delete documents.
  - Admins can configure this in Settings \> Users & Teams by selecting a user and choosing Edit permissions. Under Sales, turn on Sales Access and leave Documents off for read access: sellers can view documents and create links, but can’t upload or delete them.

These changes help reduce the risk, but they don’t recover a deleted document or fix links that are already broken. That said, we revisit our roadmap regularly, and customer ideas like this one do influence what we prioritize.

Thanks,

Ryan
