I’m using a purchased theme / template (Solustrid) and all has been going well, until I modifed the footer. I just wanted to update the basic content of the footer to reflect my site (rather than the basic content provided with the template).
Now the structure and content of the footer is a bit scrambled. There are three ‘sections’ in the footer (e.g., Solutions, Industries, Contact Us) and when I modified it, they now all automatically say the same word when I edit any of them. Some bulleted groups disappeared, plus other weirdness. I probably edited something the wrong way and **bleep** it up.
What I would LIKE to do is just start over - reset the global footer and get the template’s default footer content back, and then try (again) to modify it to my liking, without screwing up the structure like I somehow did. Other suggestions are welcome, too.
I can see the original footer.html file in Design Manager, no idea where my actual HTML file(s) are for my created / customized pages. I could probably code it by hand (if I knew where the customized files were) but that kinda defeats the purpose of a drag-and-drop CMS.
Thanks for the quick reply. I just saw that Show revision history menu item and selected it, I can see what I believe is the (previous / original) version. At further inspection, it appears the footer.html file is intact (the original HTML is what I would expect to see in the original template, placeholder text in good shape).
When I enable the Show output slider, in the right pane I see what is clearly my current footer with the messed-up html. Apologies for perhaps not being able to express or explain things as well as I could; I’m new to the HubSpot CMS and am more accustomed to developing website by hand.
So I probably have my terminology wrong, and I don’t yet know how HubSpot creates pages from modules (and/or, where/how they’re generated and presented). Looks like the Show output frame is the result of me trying to customize the footer using the Global Editor from the drag-and-drop non-code CMS editor.
Restating issue:
The footer.html file from the original theme / template looks intact. The output created from my attempt to customize my own footer(s) is apparently messed up. So… since the theme template file (footer.html, a global_partial) is intact, how to I “start over” with the “output” of that file, and try again? Attempting to make changes in the Global Editor does not work; the functionality of the footer is (in that global editor) not responding reasonably to edits (that’s why I say it’s apparently messed up… can’t edit items there).

Hi all -- checking on whether there are any suggestions for help. I’ve been searching for hours through kb articles, community articles and getting nowhere.
It seems like whatever output code (HubL code?) that has been created by me working in the GUI designer for global content is stuck. Any help to reset the footer to its original state would be much appreciated.
I got to the bottom of this, with help from HubSpot Support Chat. I was a couple clicks away, and @dennisedson was right all along.
1. In the Global Content Editor for the footer (not Design Manager), in the top left area you’ll see either “last saved on x” (or the like), just to the right of the < Back to page editor button.
2. The “Last saved on…” is a link. Click on it to and selec ‘View revision history’.
3. Select the first version of the file (the original) and in the top right a button will appear that says “Restore this version”. Click that to restore the original.
