Hi! I am trying to create a report highlighting the spam which we receive through our paid ads. We work with an outside ad agency, so I would like to be able to show which contacts we actually consider valid leads. I have already created a report showing the valid leads which we receive through our ads. I know I have to create a custom property; however, I am looking for some guidance as to what field types and rules I should use.
Right now, I have a workflow set up to delete contacts who have hard bounced or soft bounced 5 times. Sometimes the invalid leads hard bounce immediately. Othertimes, the invalid leads have fake email addresses i.e tofax77019@poverts.com. I’m open to any suggestions.
Thanks!
Hi @Ceci_Miskowski,
If you’re looking to report on bounced contacts from paid sources, this can be achieved with a single object report.
Navigate to Menu > Reports > Reports > Create report > Single object > Contacts.
Under Filters, change the Create date filter to all time, then also add a filter for “Email hard bounce reason is known” and for “Original source is any of Paid social, Paid search”.
Next, go into the Visualization tab, add the fields Original source drill-down 1 and Email hard bounce reason, then drag and drop Count of contacts and the two fields in the Displaying area. From here on, it’s all adjusting to your liking.
Let me know if that goes in the direction of what you’re looking for and if you have any follow-up questions!
Thank you! This worked well for me. Is there any chance you also have advice for creating a report regarding spam email addresses. We try to only receive business email addresses or gmail. However, sometimes bots or spam like email address filter through our ads. See my example above. Can you please give me some direction on this as well!
Hi @Ceci_Miskowski, can you reshare the example?
