We have just migrated from Salesforce, where each company in our DB had an “Introducer” field which linked to the contact record of the person who introduced them to us.

In Hubspot, these contacts are linked to the company record with an Association Label of “Introducer”.

We want a report which simply shows a list of companies with the introducer contact listed alongside.

I can happily produce a report with Companies as the primary source, Contacts as the second, and a suitable association filter so that I can get Company Name, Contact First Name, Contact Last Name.

What I would like to do is to add the Primary Company of the contact to the report so that we can see which organisation they belong to.

Is this possible, or am I going one step too far? 🙂

Hi @JoeWilliamsEBS,

Could you clarify one thing, you already have the _Company name_ in there…

… but you want to add the Primary company as well? Could you elaborate this part? Why the _Company name_ and the Primary company?

From a first glance, I think this would be a second report.

Best regards

Hi Karsten,

Apologies for the confusion!

The structure is:

Client Company → “Introducer” association label → Introducer Contact → “Primary Company” association label → Introducer Company

So I would like a report of Client Companies with the corresponding Introducer Company, linked by the introducing contact.

Hi @JoeWilliamsEBS,

I don’t think this can be done at this point, as it would include two different kinds of company objects/records.

Have you considered including the contact property _Company name_ instead of trying to pull in a second company record?

(With a Professional subscription and company-based workflows, you can also copy the company record’s name into the contact property _Company name_.)

Best regards!

Thanks; I was reaching the same conclusion!

I may be doing something wrong, but I get this message and no data appears in the _Company name_ property column.

That may be the best solution. I haven’t dived into the possibilities of workflows yet so I’ll need to get my head around the right approach 🙂

Hi @JoeWilliamsEBS,

If that column is empty, then yes, copying it using a workflow would be a next step: [https://community.hubspot.com/t5/Tips-Tricks-Best-Practices/How-to-Automatically-Populate-the-Contact-Property-Company-Name/m-p/361030](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/Tips-Tricks-Best-Practices/How-to-Automatically-Populate-the-Contact-Property-Company-Name/m-p/361030)

Thank you Karsten - I’ll get stuck in 🙂

Just to follow up, that solution worked perfectly 🙂
