I want to be able to see the date of the most recent meeting OR most recent “email reply from contact” for deals. I’m finding the “last activity date” isn’t always accurately reflecting this, even when I filter to these two activity types. Any suggestions?
Hey, @KG6
Can you share any screenshots of your report and the filters, please? Sometimes seeing your setup, even if it’s not working as expected, is helpful for our community members. — Jaycee
hey, we do have filters to capture all sorts of email replies, -- i have attached the screenshots below, by this you can capture all sorts of email replies from customer -- let me know any further help you need

@ENadeem the recent sales email date properties are contact properties, not deal properties.
@ENadeem sure it can – but that wouldn’t show a date value in a property on the deal object.
@karstenkoehler ohh, so date is needed when customer replies, right?
Hi @KG6,
Filtering by activity type doesn’t work because the last activity date contains just a date value – it doesn’t change dynamically based on filters.
If you’re predominantly looking at meetings booked through the meeting tool, you can leverage this deal property:
Date of last meeting booked in meetings tool: the date of the most recent meeting an associated contact has booked through the meetings tool. This is automatically set by HubSpot when a contact books a meeting through a meeting scheduling page and that meeting is associated with an open deal. Only a contact’s five most recent open deals are automatically associated with meetings.
It does however not include meetings not booked through a meeting scheduling page.
Besides that, HubSpot does not have dedicated date properties, unfortunately, for emails and meetings on the deal object.
However, other users have requested this before: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/Add-activity-property-for-last-last-meeting-date-call-email/idi-p/873374
These requests submitted to the HubSpot Ideas section of the community are reviewed by the HubSpot product team, based on their popularity and the assumed demand. I’d recommend commenting and upvoting.
You can also help other HubSpot users find this request more easily (and drive traction) by accepting my reply as a solution. I’d appreciate it, too.
As far as workarounds go, you would currently build a workflow that enrolls deals whenever the last activity date or next activity date changes. You would then use a custom code action (available in Operations Hub Professional and Enterprise) and the Engagements API to pull the date of the last email or last meeting into a date property.
Alternatively, depending on your ultimate goal, don’t hyperfocus on the date at all. For example, if you want to be easily able to see which deals have an upcoming meeting, simply create a deal tag: Create color-coded object tags
If you want to see deals without recent emails or meetings, simply create a segment of deals.
Best regards
