Hey all,
I created a report with the following axis:
x-axis: became closed won date
y-axis: Closed Deal Amount
All deals have a closed deal amount of >0 when going into the deal itself. However, when looking at the data of the report, it actually shows an amount of 0 for a few deals.
Does anyone have a clue why that is?
Best, Patrick
Hi @PatEnergy to verify, I customized a report to show this:
Our Sales team doesn’t use Hubspot much in this way so my data is just test data. But I am seeing some deal $$ on the graph. Are you using the same fields of data? Do you have any date filters enabled?
Can you strip your report to the bare basics and see what you get? Can you share your setup with us?
HI @Crystal_Hopper, thanks for your help! Please find attached a screenshot of the setup and the filters:
The deals that are reported as 0 deal amount are part of the upselling pipeline. So it might have to do something with that. However, as seen in the screenshot they are specifically included in the filter and do not differ in any other way from the deals in the initial pipeline.
I’m rebuilding my report as best I can to match. Question though…when did you build this report? Like the exact time you built it and saved it.
I built a report once that was showing no data whatsoever and I knew there should be something to display. I contacted Hubspot support and they said that reports can take a few hours to populate data and I should eventually see it. I did eventually see it and also realized that when I updated that report, it would take some time for the graphs to update. Do you think this could be happening to you? Or have you waited more than a few hours for the data to show up?
I built it 7 hours ago already. So some time definitely has passed already. What is confusing is that the deals are actually shown in the report when I click on the bars but then the closed deal amount column shows 0€.
So you see $$ in the graph but the column underneath shows 0?
No, actually I don’t see the amount in the bar either. I would share a screenshot but unfortunately can’t due to customer confidentiality. So the bar itself is correct if the deal amount of these deals really would be 0. However, in fact the deal amount is NOT 0. If you click into the bar and check the line of the deal, the corresponding column somehow shows 0 although this is obviously wrong.
So I clicked on a bar showing $$. The report details show up and you’re saying in this screen you see a 0 for Closed Deal Amount? Even though the Deal has some $$?
Are you for sure, that the $$ is being recorded in the Closed Deal Amount field? And not some other Amount field?
Yes, exactly it shows 0 in this view. The closed deal amount is the field within the deal at the very top left below the deal name and above the close date, right? The deals that have 0 in the below screenshot actually have >0 in the field I described
That is baffling. May I ask what subscription level this Hubspot account has? Is it Starter or a paid version? Wondering if there’s some piece of this that is only for a higher tier.
Have you tried contacting Support? I think you might need to.
It is a paid enterprise version. But I also fear that I have to contact the support because it must be a bug… Otherwise this can’t be solved I think.
Well you should have more than enough at that tier to pull a report like this and have it work properly. Please let us know what Support says. Best of luck!
