Hello,

As a Solutions partner and marketing agency, project managers and staff usually have access to our clients’ HubSpot accounts. Many of them complain that this makes things more difficult when assigning contacts as these users appear in the contact owner dropdown menu.

It would be great if we could select in the user authorizations whether they can be contact owners or not. Or select in the contact owner property which users appear.

Yes to this!
No reason that a project-based freelancer should be showing by default as a dropdown menu option in every user-based property.

Great idea! Seems silly that this isn’t already an option.

1000% AGREE!!! I have clients who have asked if this is possible. Or, at the very least, group the menu by client users vs parnter users with partners at the bottom. In some cases, a client’s portal has more partner users that client users and the client is having to scroll through all to get to their own users.

Updating this to 2026! Only 1/4 of our users are Contact Owners. It is frustrating fishing through the list to find the right person.

No reason for View Only to show up in this dropdown. I would love to be able to remove users from this dropdown selection to make assigning contacts and companies more efficient.

Yes. This would be a really useful update!
