This is something that would make a MASSIVE impact to our business… Please look at this soon and put it into play HubSpot!!

Came across this post on the HubSpot Community, can confirm that this workaround works when troubleshooting this with another user.
By exporting the object as a CSV file, we can then remove the unwanted values in Excel and the property will be updated in HubSpot upon reimporting.
While this workaround works, it would be great to have this natively in the app.
Not being able to wait on HubSpot and needing to add / remove multi-select values in workflow, we went with creating one property *per value* as a single-value multi-select. We then added all of the properties as checkboxes (each with their one option) to a form, so it looks like one multi-value property, but each are independent and can be toggled with workflow. Our need was area of interest, so we set up separate properties for:
aoi-prod1 (only value “prod1”)
aoi-prod2 (only value “prod2”)
aoi-prod3 (only value “prod3”)
etc.
Hey HubSpot, please listen your customers and make this happen!

Another vote for this, and for all around better handling of multiple checkbox properties in workflows.
Clearing/removing just one option from a HubSpot Multi-Select field is especially needed since tags aren’t supported in HubSpot (which we need).
We instead need to use fields to add/remove values to trigger automations. Otherwise presently since we can’t update (turn on/off) values from a multiple checkbox property then we need to create a whole new field every time we need to trigger an automation.
BTW this capability is available using Zapier but not inherently available within HubSpot.

Commenting on behalf of a customer! This feature is much needed. They use the property to track event registrations and want to remove the option value when the event is over.
Adding my comment here as a +1. We would love to have this feature.
This seems like an obvious and basic feature to me, too. For example, if a customer cancels one product, I want the ‘products purchased’ property to clear the specific product that they cancelled, but I can’t do that right now. The only option is to clear the entire property, removing all products OR export the data into an excel sheet, delete the data I want and re-import back into the CRM. Please fix this HubSpot!

I also like the idea and want to have it as it will save a lot of time instead of import and exports of records or using different tools to do it.
Having this option for removing a single selection from a contact multi-select property within a workflow would really simplify some of our processes. Please consider making this a feature in a future release.
To add to the chorus of voices requesting this feature, I’m expressing our critical need for this as well.
