Hello:
We have several Deals in our Deal Pipeline that are not qualified well enough to be in the Deal Pipleine. How can I reclassify a Deal to a Lead?
Thanks!

Hi @JSchmitz2,
There is no default feature for converting a deal back into a lead - you would have to create new leads in this case.
Your best option is likely a contact based workflow that enrolls contacts associated to those affected deals, them uses the ‘Create record’ action to create leads.
Best regards!
Thank you!
@JSchmitz2 Unfortunately, converting a deal into a lead is impossible. However, as a temporary measure, you can add a Deal Stage and call it “In Qualificaton”, for example. Thus, you will know these deals are not fully qualified yet, as they are located at this “pre-sales stage.”
Karsten, there were not enough Deals to create a workflow. I manually deleted and created new leads. Your suggestion did give me an idea though. Can you provide an example of workflow that creates a Lead when a contact clicks on one of our marketing emails?
@JSchmitz2 sure, enroll contacts based on ‘When filter criteria is met’ and filter for ‘Last marketing email click date’ (for example is less than 1 day ago), them use the ‘Create record’ action to create a lead.
Please also mark my earlier reply as a solution if you found it helpful or think it could help others in a similar situation. Thank you!
I would like to a workflow to create a Lead when a Contact opens the email from one of our marketing campaigns.
