Hi all,
First post here, please be gentle ![]()
I created a simple form for the receptionist to create a contact when she picks up the phone. These leads are non-marketable yet we want their informations in the CRM for the next time they call (HubSpot is linked to 3CX and works beautifully, yet we do not create contact automatically since this was removed after the last update) Besides, we want a more comprohensive form for the receptionist.
Anyway, I was looking to see how we can add a field to the form that links it to a “contact owner”
From what I have seen so far, the form is “external” and although we have contact fields that polulate nicely, I can’t seem to find a option to assign the lead to a person.
Is there a way to add a flied like this? Again the form is external (standalone form).
Thank you.
Hi @MouseMedia,
You’re correct, the contact owner field cannot be used in forms.
If you want this behaviour, you would have to set up a custom drop-down property that lists all owners. Using a contact based workflow and if/then branches, you would then check whether drop-down value is owner A, then use the “Set property value” action to set the actual contact owner to person A. Not complicated, but always requiring additional work when owners join or leave.
As an alternative, have you considered training the receptionist in using the create record form in the CRM?
Best regards
Hi @karstenkoehler,
Ok makes sense.
At this moment your proposed training is a bidge to far. But I get what you are saying. Thanks!
Hi @MouseMedia
You should be able to use a Workflow like below.
There are some other options like putting them into a dynamic list but eventually you will need an automation to set te property.I hope this helps.
