I’m working with an org that has one brand and one business unit setup in huubspot. they have another company that they own that has different branding, location, team, company name, etc. they currently don’t have products or quotes setup, but need to create a branded quote template using the other company’s branding and info for that team to use. can this be done by just creating a new quote template in hubspot which includes the other company’s data and branding without adding another business unit?
also, when i try to clone an existing quote template, i get the following error.
There was an error cloning your template.
Please refresh the page and try again.
I checked and I should have the correct permissions and do have a subdomain setup for the quotes object.
thanks all!

Yes, the best approach is to create a custom quote template for each company under the same parent organization. This way, you can properly manage quotes across multiple brands.
To do this, simply clone the existing brand’s quote template, update the logo and sender company details, and then mark it as available for selection.
If you’re seeing the error “Please refresh the page and try again,” it’s likely a browser issue. Try using an incognito/private window or clear your cookies and cache.
Extra suggestion: I understand you’re setting this up so your client can manage quotes for multiple companies within one business unit. That’s fine, but for best Quote-to-Cash practices, it’s important to confirm with your client how they handle payment collection after quotes are signed.
Here’s why: while it’s easy to clone quote templates in HubSpot, invoice templates cannot be cloned for multiple companies. Once a quote is signed and you send the invoice, it will always reflect the details of the current company. This can create inconsistencies in customer experience and cause challenges in end-to-end Quote-to-Cash management across separate companies.
