Quote link as a task

Hi,

When sending the quote we have a quote approval process. We want that in the task that is created for the approver, the task will contain a link to the quote, instead of searching for the quote manually in the deal.

When adding the “Link to Hosted Quote” field inside the task the value returns blank. Why?

Hi @OBetzalel,

The field might not be properly mapped or populated at the time the task is created. Ensure that the quote has already been created and hosted before the task is generated. If the task is created before the quote is finalized, the Link to Hosted Quote field will appear empty because the quote URL doesn’t exist yet.

@TSburv If the quote is not approved yet, maybe that can be the issue?

Or if I’ll apply of 2 minutes it might help?

@OBetzalel If the quote hasn’t been approved yet, that would explain why the Link to Hosted Quote field is returning blank. The link to the hosted quote is only generated once the quote is finalized and approved.
