We should be able to extend the expiration date or reactive a quote without having to create a brand new link each time. Our quotes as a rule are only good for 30 days and there are times that on day 32 or 33 the client would like to purchase but I have to recall the quote and edit it before creating a NEW link that I have to send them rather than being on the phone with them and reactivating the quote so they can just print and sign. Why am I not able to reactivate the quote with the same link and a new expiration date?

Sometimes it just takes a legal team reviewing the agreement and it pushes past the expiration date. By not being able to extend the date and being forced to resend a new link with a new expiration date, their legal team has to review the entire agreement again to ensure no other changes were made. It is slowing us down.

This is pretty critical if you’re spending e-signatures each time you re-call. Can we please get some movement on this feature request? Thanks

If you are not going to allow one to extend the experation date, then please send a notification to the team when a quote is about to expire?

I really need this feature as well. I was actually surpriced that it is not already implemented…

I have the situation were the customer signed the quote at 11pm the night it expired (last night). Now I am locked out of the quote and cannot counter sign it. It seems the only way forward is to recall, edit and republish it and have them resign it. That’s not a great look.

BTyler7 - we’ve had that same challenge in the past as well. There may be another way, but you can always download the Quote that has your Customer’s Signature, print off, sign and scan, then send the PDF back via email. IMO - that’s a better experience than having them sign again for sure.

We had that thought too. But then we would have the quote sitting in the pending status with no ability to change it. We did see that you can add the file as an attachment to the company record, but there is no way to change the status of the quote or attach the scanned document to the quote.

It also makes no sense to me why we would need to issue a new quote, that actually HAS BEEN SIGNED, if it hasn’t been paid by the due date.

The ability to change this date en-mass would be great. I have over 300 quotes in my pipeline and i am stuck doing 1 of 2 things… either extending the date right out - i.e. 6-8 months which then affects my pipeline reporting etc etc or 2. having to recall and edit every quote that wasnt signed this month and extend it. This is time consuming and not conducive to efficiently managing the sales queue. Could you please look at having the ability to mass change the quote expiry date without having to recall and edit every single time.

We are currently paying a full time salaried person to call and follow up on contracts post sending them because they expire in 1 hour.
It’s a very unprofessional look having to resend it.

I generally believe it’s important to have an expiration date and that access should no longer be permitted after that date. However, I definitely agree that it should be easier to extend an existing offer. Currently, it is possible to withdraw and edit the offer without generating a new link, but in my view, the steps involved are unnecessary. Just add a simple “Extend Validity” option to the context menu of the offers and let users select the new date via a modal—that’s it. In the background, the system would then automatically republish the offer with the new date under the same link. So, in principle, this should be technically easy for the product team to implement.

Hey Brett, our app DocuGen makes extending a quote a quick regenerate. The expiry date on your quote template pulls from a date property on the deal, so on day 32 you change that date and regenerate the quote right from the deal. Pricing, line items and terms fill in from the same deal data, so nothing else shifts and the client’s legal team isn’t reviewing a moving target. Send it for e-signature from HubSpot, and the quote PDF saves to the deal’s attachments.

Take a look on the [HubSpot marketplace](https://ecosystem.hubspot.com/marketplace/listing/docugen).

P.S. The free plan covers 400 documents or 200 e-signatures a month for your whole team.
