I had been using a similar sales approach, but it’s better to establish a methodology and steps so it can be replicated and scaled!
I think these sales methodology topics are really great; although I was already applying them in practice, I wasn’t familiar with the inbound method.
I think I was already using it, but I didn’t know its name. I wasn’t implementing it 100% as this course describes, but I was using it, and it is the most practical approach. Having the knowledge to implement it properly.
It’s completely different; it’s about talking about the problem to attract people who identify with it. That’s where I’ve left the competition behind, because it’s not about price, but about solutions.
In this program I’m just starting, I’ll study to improve the way I think and how I speak to customers. After watching two videos, I realized that the words they use are different. After studying for a while, I noticed that it’s like another level to be able to do more than just be a sales assistant’s helper, and perhaps by speaking that way at work, they’ll see me as having more potential and character, and recognize me as a good salesperson.
In my view, inbound sales are the best way to build a stronger relationship with the buyer. By inquiring about and staying informed regarding their challenges, you can not only offer a product that better suits their needs but also foster a closer relationship. From the customer’s perspective, this creates the impression that we are not solely focused on making a sale, but are genuinely willing to listen, help clarify their concerns, and provide solutions.
I believe that Inbount sales transforms the sales process into a close, collaborative relationship between both parties (Seller – Buyer), where we aim to provide appropriate solutions to the challenges they face.
I believe inbound sales represent more of a shift in focus than a completely new method. Instead of focusing on selling a product, they aim to understand the customer’s needs and provide value throughout the entire decision-making process. In my career as a researcher, I have worked in a similar way: by listening to the needs of other researchers, analyzing technical problems, and seeking the best possible solution. Now I am learning to apply that same approach within a structured commercial process.
