I believe that most companies have four “common” funnels:
Marketing Funnel: Here we will find traffic acquisition through data capture, starting from visitors, converting them into leads, and filtering Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs). In other words, this is the Attraction stage.
Sales Funnel: We assess commercial effectiveness once the sales team takes over those leads. It goes from Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), through the opportunity and negotiation stages, and ends with a closed client/close rate. This funnel would be the one feeding our Interaction stage.
CS/Support Funnel: This helps us measure friction in user support. Post-sale service is often more important than acquiring a new lead, as it brings us more loyal clients. I believe its typical flow would be the creation of a support ticket, initial response time, work in progress, and final resolution. This funnel is extremely important for the Delight stage.
And Retention: This helps us see how clients mature within the company. It goes from the onboarding stage (first steps), through recurring purchases (retention/upselling), and eventually turns them into promoters or active brand ambassadors. This funnel takes the strength of Delight and reinjects it into the Attraction stage through recommendations and reviews, Google reviews… blah blah blah.
