My company uses HubSpot in to not only track our clients and their contact but we also enter our Purchase Orders in.
Now here is our issues:-
We have created our sales pipeline and our sales team use this to identify possible opportunities, verify these opportunities, communicate with clients, set up meetings with clients and then either win the deal or lose.
Now as we receive each PO from our clients we enter each of these PO’s as a seperate deal. Now this makes the creation of the original deal obsolete.
What we would like to do is enter the original deal and then enter each PO as a milestone against the account until the accumlated PO’s equals the original dollar value of the original deal.
So for example:- We have a deal worth say $1,000,000. Now as an end stage company we receive the goods for this deal in steps, and each step gets its own PO, we want to enter the PO’s against the $1,000,00 deal rather than making each PO it’s own deal.
Make a custom PO field and require it at an appropriate state in your Pipeline. For example, you can’t move a Deal to “PO Review” (for example) stage unless you have the PO # entered on the Deal. And, anyone receiving a PO needs to attempt to associate it with an existing Deal before creating a new one.
Hi @JOsborn ,
You can create a custom field named PO for your deals.
Now in the deal pipeline, ypou can edit this property against the particular deal stage and made it mandatory, so that sales rep can move the deal forward, only when a value in the PO property is filled. Check the SS below:
So when in the pipeline, you will move the deal from previous stage to the PO stage, you will freceive this pop-up, here the sales rep will have to fill the value and then only the deal will move forward:
Hi,
Thanks for your response, how would this work if a deal requires multiple PO’s against it? For example: -
* Overall deal is worth $220,000.00
* However this deal will end up with 40 different purchase orders against it, most worth between $5500-6000 as each “step” is submitted for completion.
Or does your solution account for and it and if the custom PO field doesn’t total doesn’t equal the deal total then it cannot proceed to Closed (won)?
Best Regards
Hi! I was wondering if you found a solution to this when using hubspot. We have a similar business model and I also want to unite one deal with multiple POs against it without creating multiple deals or splitting the deal. Thank you in advance, Julia
