Public App launch in marketplace

Currently, my app is running on an older version. I am not updating the app because the latest version does not support calling SDK APIs, so some features will break after launch. For Marketplace certification approval, do we need to update the app version?

Hey @princesuhagiya1,

Legacy apps are still supported by HubSpot, but creating apps on the latest developer platform (2026.03) is highly recommended.

Hey @princesuhagiya1!

Short answer is yes, you have to update but jump to 2026.03, not 2025.2, and your SDK-dependent features should work again.

Based on a research I did this is now a hard requirement for certification. Apps submitting for certification or recertification must be on a currently supported developer platform version: Spring 2026 Spotlight

Apps still running on legacy versions or Projects 2023.2 / 2025.1 will be rejected at review. There’s roughly a 60-day remediation window if your app gets flagged during the review process, but you can’t skip the update altogether.

Two things worth checking before you panic about the SDK breakage, though:
1. The “no SDK API support” gap was specific to 2025.2.

2. May 2026 requirements while you’re at it, since they apply at certification too: migration to the new OAuth v3 endpoints

Hope this works!
