# Prospecting Report

How do I run an activity report from contacts by sales person, filtered by Type of Contact, time period, and type of activity?

Hi @MSmith60,

You would navigate to _Menu_ \> _Reports_ \> _Reports_ \> _Create custom report_ \> _Custom Report Builder_ and select _Primary data source_ “Contacts” + “Sales activities”.

Then, set up your Configure tab as follows:

Under _Filters_, filter for _Type of contact_ (this is a custom properties of yours which I don’t have, I’ll use _Persona_) and the desired time frame:

Hi @MSmith60 ,  
You can check many activity reports in the reports library. Created a loom for you [here](https://www.loom.com/share/a3ba5a44b6b5468e848d48e09e033393) to check how you can add filters. For the report with contact type, you can create a custom report as suggested by the fellow user karstenkoehler.
