Pricing & Credits
Q: Does the Prospecting Agent charge credits per play?
No — it charges 100 credits per recommended lead, not per play. You can create as many plays as you want.
Q: Are all of the agents included in the base sales package, or do they cost credits?
We serve the Prospecting Agent, which uses 100 credits per recommended lead. Credits do come with Sales Pro and Enterprise packages. So you can always use those and not pay additional if you want to try it out.
Q: Is the Prospecting Agent available on the free tier?
Prospecting Agent is not in the free tier — but Starter+ for all Hubs.
Q: Does choosing more intents, segments, suggestions, and daily suggestions use up more credits? Is there a way to know how many credits each one uses?
Choosing all of those doesn’t necessarily mean more credits. You could add all 47 or just one.
It consumes credits when it’s able to find a contact at a company and enroll them in the outreach sequence.
You can set credit spend limits in the settings section, or set daily maximum contact suggestion limits — so you never go over.
Q: With Buyer Intent signals costing 10 credits and the Prospecting Agent costing 100 credits per company — is the Buyer Intent credit something that can be spent outside of the agent?
Yes. HubSpot Credits are shared across credit-consuming features — there isn’t a separate “Buyer Intent-only” credit bucket. Once the 10 credits are used to track a company’s intent signals, they’re consumed; any remaining balance can be used by Prospecting Agent, Data Agent, Customer Agent, or other eligible features.
Prospecting Agent Setup & Plays
Q: Can we connect the agent to internal resources with persona info and pain points?
Yes. You can connect the agent to your own brand voice, products, segments, and CRM context.
Q: We created a custom agent to lead generate and throw it over to the Prospecting Agent to do outreach. Can we instruct AI to add it as a target account first before doing outreach?
You should be able to by creating a workflow that sets the company’s target account property as True.
Q: I use Apollo.io — this is quite the same, except for getting new emails of prospects. Is that correct?
Yes, Apollo.io works with the Prospecting Agent! You’ll set that up as you create your first play. It can pull those contacts in.
Q: Is there a spot check to make sure it doesn’t flag companies that are already in an active sales cycle or in a cold campaign? Or if they are in a campaign, will it let you know?
In the agent setup tab of the Prospecting Agent — go to the Exclusions list and exclude companies there that are in campaigns you’d like to not message.
Q: How do I set up the Prospecting Agent without opting into the current beta?
To use the latest version, you would have to opt in to the beta. We’ve kept it in beta for a long time, publicly available to everyone, just to gather as much feedback as possible.
Q: What are the specific advantages of creating a play compared to the starter play?
I’m not sure what you mean by this question! Feel free to reach out to clarify.
Q: Did I hear you say that every HubSpot marketing plan includes the Prospecting Agent?
Correct — it’s available to Marketing Hub customers.
Buyer Intent
Q: How can we capture buyer intent from contacts generated through offline commercial activities — such as trade fairs, meetings, or other sales actions — where we have to measure the quality and level of engagement in other ways, rather than relying only on website activity? Is there a way to incorporate this real-world intent into HubSpot and use it to assign contacts to the appropriate segment?
If the contact is in HubSpot and the activity is recorded or imported, then Buyer Intent can capture the activity. Simply having the contact record isn’t enough; trade fairs, meetings, and calls must be logged or added as events.
Use Cases & Industry Fit
Q: We’re not traditionally B2B — how can this benefit B2C?
Prospecting Agent and HubSpot in general is more B2B from the sales side of things. Some marketing and buyer intent tools can work for B2C as well.
Buyer Intent is mainly designed for B2B companies. It identifies the companies visiting your website, rather than individual consumers. For B2C or B2B2C businesses, it can still help identify retailers, distributors, partners, or other organizations that are interested in your products.
However, for reaching individual consumers, we recommend relying on first-party behavioral data, audience segmentation, and ad campaigns. In this case, Buyer Intent is best used as a supplemental signal rather than the primary B2C solution.
Q: We are an Electrical Panel Manufacturing Company that is also a Schneider Electric Distributor — so we are both a customized manufacturer and supplier, which means our buyers range from fellow manufacturing companies to sugar industries, cement industries, data centers, and more. What would be the right way to use this feature?
For the Prospecting Agent — I would just set up separate plays. Each play can have its own totally different URL, value proposition, products, and more.
Q: Will this work for selling coaching?
If you were selling coaching services, I could see the Prospecting Agent working well — as long as your targets are companies or people at companies with a decent web presence. For example, selling executive coaching to accounting firms.
Breeze Assistant
Q: Is Breeze Assistant only reading emails, or is it also going through recorded calls that were uploaded?
Breeze Assistant is going through all associated activities, calls, meetings, notes, emails, including transcripts. Anything associated to the deal, company, or contact, it will be going through.
Q: On reporting — can I upload a spreadsheet and use Breeze to create the data for the report based on that upload?
You can upload documents to Breeze Assistant and have it analyze — so in theory this could be possible!
AI & Integrations
Q: Do the AI agents have the same AI issues with language and em dashes?
Not necessarily. The agent learns from your feedback and takes into consideration preset tones as well as custom instructions and your company’s brand voice.
Q: Is there a way to connect an AI live call assistant to HubSpot through Claude or ChatGPT so that when a customer asks a question the agent doesn’t know, the live call assistant transcribing the call can provide the answer for our agent to relay to the customer over the phone?
Great idea — I do not believe that is currently possible for live call support.
Q: Does the CRM have an integrated soft phone?
Yes, companies like Aircall, RingCentral, and CloutTalk are all partners we integrate with. Visit the app marketplace for more info.
Getting Started
Q: Is there an external, manual tool that can be used by a very small startup to transition into the HubSpot Prospecting Agent when it becomes viable?
Yes — more info here. Find tutorials on HubSpot Academy.
Q: I’m a complete beginner in sales, CRM, and AI use cases. I’ve completed the HubSpot certification for inbound sales. How would you recommend getting started? Any 101, beginner-friendly advice?
Yes — I would 100% recommend the Sales Hub certification.
Q: Will there be video tutorials on this?
Yes, on HubSpot Academy.
