Hi!
I’ve set up a project using the cli. The project contains a webhook that should trigger when a Lead is created. But it never triggers?
I’m probably doing something very obviously wrong but I have been staring at this for hours and would really appreciate some help.
It works fine if I use objectType contact. But I really want to get it up and running with the lead object. Triggering the webhook with the “Test this subscription” feature under the webhook details also works.
I’m running the whole setup in a developer test account.
Is the issue that leads are not supported for webhooks yet? In that case, are custom fields on Contacts supported for webhooks? (I couldn’t get that working either)

```lia-code-sample
Webhook conf:
{
 "uid": "hubspot_leads_webhooks",
 "type": "webhooks",
 },
 "subscriptions": {
 "crmObjects": [
 {
 "subscriptionType": "object.creation",
 "objectType": "lead",
Hi there @michkrej
Thanks for sharing the config — I’ll pull in a few Community members who are deep in **Developer Projects + Webhooks + the Leads object** to confirm whether objectType: “lead” is currently supported (and what the right setup is if not).
@CBN @RubenBurdin @SteveHTM have you seen webhooks not firing for **Lead object creation** in dev test accounts even though the “Test this subscription” works? Any known limitations for Leads webhooks, or recommended alternatives (e.g., contact custom properties / associations) in the meantime?
Appreciate any insight you can share.
Best, Victor
We do not use Leads so not really able to help here [@Victor\_Becerra](https://community.hubspot.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/620965) and @michkrej.
One tip could be to include lead.propertyChanged so see if the object was created earlier.
This did not work sadly. But configuring a webhook for lead creation in a legacy app did! So I’ll take that as a win.
