Production blocker: MCP Auth App installation limit and account transfer

Hi there,

Our Circleback MCP Auth App (ID: 39677655) uses the official HubSpot MCP server. New customers cannot connect because they receive:

“The app could not be installed because the installation limit has been reached. Please contact the app developer.”

We need help with two things:

  1. Remove the installation restriction so our customers can connect. Circleback already has a published Marketplace app. Please tell us what is required to unblock this MCP connector.
  2. Transfer the existing MCP app from my individual developer account to our shared company account, preserving its credentials and existing customer connections. I can provide both account IDs privately.

This is blocking customers in production. We have also emailed app-partners@hubspot.com and are requesting assistance here in parallel.

Thank you.

Hey @andyviera,

Welcome to the community!

Thanks for providing such a detailed write-up. I looked further into this issue for you and haven’t identified a permanent solution so far. I’m going to take this to our internal team and reach back out as soon as we have an update.

Thanks for your patience on this!

Hey @andyviera,

Thanks for your patience while I looked into this! I’ll send you a direct message to follow up on the details, but wanted to share a couple of quick notes here first:

  1. Install limit – the limit applies per app, not per app partner account, so having one listed app doesn’t automatically exempt other apps you’ve built. The fastest path to lifting that limit is getting the app listed on the HubSpot App Marketplace if it isn’t already.
  2. Transferring the app – this is possible, and moving it would preserve the client ID, client secret, app ID, and all existing installations (including any draft listing). Just need to know the destination account.

One other heads up: the app-partners@hubspot.com address is no longer active – the current contact is technology-partners@hubspot.com if you need to reach out directly.

I’ll DM you shortly with next steps!
