Problem with Email Signature in Apple/Mac mail

Hi everyone,

I’m not sure if this is the right area to be asking this question however we have used the Hubspot Free email signature tool to create some new signatures for our team.
When copying this into mac mail we lose all the social icons, images and logo?

We’ve spoken with someone through the chat who directed us to the community as she wasn’t able to help.

Does anyone have any suggestions for this. We’d really like to use the signatures.
Kind regards,
Anna McCormack

I’m having the same issue & was told the same thing.

I found a solution. I was using Safari and that’s the problem. When I copied the code from Chrome it worked.

Mmm, I’m using Chrome already? But will perhaps try another browser.

I tryed with Safari and it brought through the images this time, but changes the font, and doesn’t bring through the emblems ie phone, email etc.

Think I might let this one go.

Hello @affordablewhole

Could you please confirm that you are using the correct version for our supported browsers?

Kindly,

Pam

Hi Pamela,

Yes, and just to be sure I’ve gone in and double checked. Funny thing is that no images or icons copy across from the latest chrome, and when I make the same signature in Safari, some of the images copy across (the logo and social icons), but the phone, website and email icons do not. And they come in a different arrangement. Not something we can use?
I’m wondering if perhaps Mac mail needs updating however I am using MacOS Catalina which is the latest version of Mac. Perhaps this is also a factor? Either way, getting close to giving up on this now unless you have something else to offer?

Warm regards,

Anna

I’m having such a lot of trouble loading the email signature to my mac Mail.
Has anyone had their problem resolved yet?
I’ve called Apple with no luck.
I’ve updated to the latest Catalina.
I’ve resized my image smaller and saved as jpeg rather than png.
I’ve tried doing everything in Chrome.
Am I wasting my time? I can’t get this beautiful email signature to work in Mac Mail.

Hey @LeanneS,

I am working with our team and at the moment we will continue investigating more about it but there it’s not a current fix for this behavior.

The reason is that each specific mail client has a number of changes and updates that may affect the way the signature generator behaves.
I will be updating this thread if there are any changes in the future about this.

Kindly,

Pam

Found out how to do it if you are using the HubSpot CRM:

Log into your Hubspot CRM

Click on Settings (Gear Icon)

Scroll down to Signature under ‘CRM Communication’

Click on ‘Edit Signature’

The HTML appears - select all and the copy the HTML code

Open your Mac Mail

Choose Mail from top menu

Choose Preferences from drop down

Select Email Signature You Created or click ‘+’ to add an email signature

Paste code into email signature

voila! should be good.

I don’t have Hubspot CRM so I’m still searching for a solution.

Hello @LeanneS,

If you would like to start using HubSpot CRM, you can create a new free account here.

Hi everyone,

Did you finally manage to add your signature on the Mail app ? Our entire team is working on Mac but we can’t use the signature we generated.

Tell me if you have any advice ! Thanks

Mathilde

Unfortunately the problem hasn’t been fixed Mathilde.
I can include it in my email but the text sits under the circular photo and not next to it so it doesn’t have the same effect that it should.

Hello @MGS-ml,

At the moment the reason that may not work is that each specific mail client has a number of changes and updates that may affect the way the signature generator behaves.

Did you had a chance to try the @JaimeJay workaround?

Once I have an update from my team I will leave a comment in here.

Thank you!

Pam

I was having the same problem until I tried creating the signature and copying the code from Google Chrome instead of Safari. For some reason, Safari doesn’t work but Chrome did for me.

Hi guys, I have literally tried everything to get this to work, even the below CRM solution which did not work for me. Anyway I finally found a solution!!

Follow the instructions on the link below which allows you to create an email signature on a mac using HTML… it seems pretty daunting when you first look at it but just follow the instructions step by step and it should work! It worked perfectly for me, and only took about 10 minutes total.

@LaurenASKEVA, thank you so much for sharing your solution!

Thank you for sharing this. Worked perfectly for me!

This one did the trick for me, thank you so much. To know how to get a direct Image URL, here you go. It is in german but you cann google translate it easily: https://www.mail-signatures.com/de/articles/direkter-link-zu-einem-gehosteten-bild-in-e-mail-signaturen/#dropbox
