I’ve inherited the management of our websites in hubspot and i’m a designer first, and newbie as a developer so I’m hoping someone can give me some guidance here.

We have an enterprise license with two business units.

both our business units’ websites share the same base them “Matter”.

Both sites as far as I can tell, are child themes of Matter. – the developer that created the first site “careerfaircanada.ca” also created some custom templates that differ from the parent. This is also our primary site…

Our second site is a child theme of “Matter” as well, that I created, with a few similar custom modules as the primary site.

Now the issue.

Everything appears fine and dandy, that is until I had to create the 2nd blog listing page for our new site.

The first site,

> **[blog](https://careerfaircanada.ca/cfc-blog)**
>
> Stay informed about Canada's job sectors and career services with our blog. Discover the importance of acquiring new skills in today's job market and maximize your career fair experience. Subscribe for the latest updates!

uses a customized blog index page, that originally had a customized section (which has since been commented out) located in the primary website directory, that was cloned and changed from the main theme.

Our new site does not have a customized blog index page.

> **[New Home & Condo Expo Blog | Latest Trends & Expert Insights](https://newhomeandcondoexpo.ca/expo-blog)**
>
> Stay updated with the latest trends, expert insights, and market news in real estate. Explore the New Home & Condo Expo blog for valuable tips!

Both of these sites should essentially have same display components – displaying in the same way – with font and style changes of course, as they both originally were essentially the same –

and they do not. The “Expo” blog page seems to load half the template (left side) of the other blog listing page template option, and half (the right side) of the one I’m trying to use.

I tried a child template of the blog listing page, and moved it into the directory – but it resulted in the font styling etc. of the primary site. When I removed it, i get the correct styling but the content is not reflecting the correct template.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @LReid-Sachs,

Is the customized blog index page for the first site a template or manually built using the drag-and-drop editor?

If it’s a template, you only need to duplicate that template into your second site’s child theme.

If it’s created manually from the drag-and-drop editor, you’ll need to replicate it manually on the second site, also from the drag-and-drop editor.

Thank you!

After a bit of experimentation, it ended up being a combination using the template and replacing one of the elements with a fresh copy from the drag and drop editor.
