# Private App for EU

Hi,  
I’m getting 404 error when I use the access token from Private App with my EU account. When this is tried with US account it works.  
As a work around I created a developer account to create test account and from that test account I created a Private App. Now the access token works. But is there a shorter way?

Hey, @Arunem 👋 To clarify, you are saying your EU-based account’s Private App token is giving a 404 with _ **all** _ calls? I want to make sure I understand correctly.

For example, if you make a request using the [Contacts API | List endpoint](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/crm/contacts), does it fail for one token and succeed for the other?

Furthermore, is this a Private App that you created with your user account in the EU portal? Or is this a Private App created by another user that you’ve inherited?

Hi Jaycee,  
Private with access token starting like pat-eu1 fail all the API calls. But  
access token starting like pat-na1 works fine in all those API calls.  
I checked it by creating a new account as well. While signing up I selected  
EU and created a private app.
