Privacy and consent banner not formatted correctly

Hi,

I have a website socialbyshay.com (if you type in the www in front it doesn’t work correctly and I’m talking to my hosting platform about this at the moment).

On my website, I implemented a privacy and consent banner by going to Hubspot Settings > Privacy & Consent > Cookies, and then implementing the cookie opt-in banner on my website.

The opt-in banner appears on my website but the formatting isn’t showing correctly. The “decline” and the “X button” on the cookie opt-in form show incorrectly like the text/frame is duplicated over the existing text. See the screenshot below.

This happens on both desktop and mobile and in Chrome, Edge and Firefox browsers.

How can I fix this formatting issue?

Thanks,

Shay

The issue looks to be that your button is using a transparent background color, so there is a lower layer that is exposed. The reason you don’t see this on your accept button is that it has a background color. Instead of setting the decline button to be a transparent background could you use white instead?

Hi Ben,

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately there is only an option to select one colour. There’s no option to select any/remove any transparent colours.

I tried different colour variations and still having this issue. The preview also shows that it looks fine but on the actual site the issue appears - see screenshot below.

Thanks,

It’s possible it’s not in those settings and is in your template as you are using the Hubpot CMS. Can you verify the button CSS in your template files?

Hi Ben,

I created this using the Hubspot feature to create a cookie consent banner so I don’t think this has anything to do with CSS settings. Perhaps a technical error with Hubspot?

Thanks
