A user in our organization had a hubspot and she has left the organization. How can I transfer her account to another user? I can’t login to her account because of the MFA challenge.

Hi @patrickreid, Nice to greet you 🙂

Good news!! you don’t need to log in as her. In HubSpot, user logins can’t be transferred to someone else. Instead, a Super Admin in your account deactivates her user and moves her work over to whoever is taking it on

Here’s the order I’d follow:

1. **Reassign her records first.** Contacts, companies, deals and tickets she owns should get a new owner before you remove her. You can do this in bulk from each record list by filtering on her as the owner
2. **Check scheduling pages and automations.** If she’s on a round-robin meeting link, a rotation, or used as a filter in workflows, remove her from those so meetings and records don’t keep going to her
3. **Deactivate her user.** Go to Settings \> Users & Teams, hover over her name, then Actions \> Deactivate user. She can no longer log in, but her history stays for reporting.
4. **Free up her seat.** Unassign her seat so you can give it to the new person.
5. **Remove her if she isn’t coming back.** If she’s set as a point of contact in Account & Billing (for example the Primary Account Contact), replace her there first. Then you can remove her from the account. Anything she created, such as emails, forms and workflows, stays in place

All of this needs Super Admin permissions. If she was the only Super Admin in your account, you’ll need to contact HubSpot Support to work out how to regain admin access, because they can’t deactivate or remove users for you

The full steps are in [Deactivate and remove HubSpot users](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/user-management/remove-hubspot-users)

Hope this helps!

Daniel
