Use case:
I want to do a backfill of 1 property only (in this case, a property called Mobile Phone Number), in order to have all that data from that particular Property in Hubspot on a Contact.
However, with the import tool I can only select a filter in what kind of Contacts are synced, but it does not give me the option to be deliberate about what fields/properties I want to import. Right now, it will just bring in everything.
The only workaround I am seeing is export the relevant data from Salesforce, and then import/map to Hubspot.
Any reasons you are not simply doing that in the Salesforce sync settings? Or am I misunderstanding what you are trying to do?

@franksteiner79 Thanks for the response! As I see it, the normal sync only triggers when a value is changed/updated. I want to do a full backfill however, regardless of whether it is changed or not, which is why I ended up looking at the Import function. Unfortunately there are no filters available to do that one property I want to sync. Right now we are going the export from SF and import into HS with a CSV way…
Great use case, and you’re right, HubSpot’s native Salesforce import tools don’t give you granular control over which specific fields to bring in and requires updates to happen, which makes simple backfills (like a single property) a bit messy.
That said, this is a perfect scenario for using Coefficient’s HubSpot certified and Salesforce 2-way connectors between spreadsheets for your Salesforce to HubSpot workflow.
- Use Coefficient to import just the data you need from Salesforce—in this case, the Mobile Phone Number field, email, and Contact ID as the ID property you’ll need. You can pull exactly the fields you want into Google Sheets or Excel, with filters if needed.
