What is exacly the “portalId” that comes into the webhook

“contact.propertyChange” payload? Is this something related with the owner ID? Is there a way for me to get the contact’s owner information from this portalId? If not, how can I get the owner info from the payload that comes from webhook?

Hi @RAraujo0

The **objectId** is what you can use to get the Contact.

The **portalId** is the “Hub ID” of the HubSpot Portal that sent the payload.

Here’s a full list of the [properties in the Webhook Payload](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/webhooks#webhook-payloads).

Have fun

Mike

Hello Mike, thank you for your response.

I’m not able to get the contact only with the " **objectId**". I need some information about the owner so I can retrieve the token information. I would need the ownerId or userId for example.

Hi @RAraujo0

You will need to get the Contact from the [Contacts API](https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/crm/contacts#retrieve-contacts) and specify the Owner Property (hubspot\_owner\_id) in your request, you can then use the API to get the Owner.

Not sure what you mean by “retrieve the token information”.

Have fun

Mike

Hello Mike, the problem is that to use the Contact API I will need the “hubspot\_owner\_id”, but I dont know what is the owner ID from the webhook payload. I only have the object ID.

Hi @RAraujo0

Just to clarify - the process to find the Owner of a Contact is:

1. The Webhook sends the Contact JSON to your system
2. Your system uses the Contact ID (object ID) to get the Owner ID (hubspot\_owner\_id) from the HubSpot API
3. Your system uses the Owner ID (hubspot\_owner\_id) to get the Owner from HubSpot.

Is this what you wanted to acheive?

Mike
